In response to Andy (below) who sang green knees at the tribute - you did Andy P real proud - that was a fantastic rendition of green knees - excellent - really enjoyed you and all the other performers. Both your version of Green Knees and Boot hills version of Slug in a Windmill have been churning round in my head all wkd. Fridays show was an incredible testament to the fantastic, witty and clever writings of Andy Postman who is sorely missed.

I met Andy when i joined Matlock Post Office in 1979 we hit it off straight away. We soon started writing and singing songs . Later we did plays and not forgetting the Stereo Human Juke box. I am singing (hopfully) three of those songs at the tribute tonight. Green knees, Flat bird and Far canal.
I MISS YOU ANDY. XPosted by ANDY (postman) HODGKINSON, 24/04/2009 3:35am (3 years ago)
