Making Waves has an interest in developing new arts, photography or film based projects which aim to:

• Create an opportunity for people to voice their experiences of madness
• Share people's insight to improve the way people in distress get care and support
• Challenge the prejudice and discrimination experienced by those deemed ‘mad’

We are currently working on a mixed media arts project for the University of Nottingham and Self Help Nottingham with a group called Dynamite for Afro-Carribean people, run by Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust. We are working with the group to create training materials that can be used by the University of Nottingham focussing on some of the specific cultural needs of the group
